Great game, art and music direction is great. Main gimmick of the game is also interesting, but it needs to get polished. Waiting for rain, that seems random ain't the greatest, but then I understand it being like that, to make player be more elastic their positioning.
Temporary upgrades are simply not great. pernament get really grindy later, and healing items feel too expensive to bother. Jump ones I guess make chaining water jumps more effective, but I haven't really felt that effect, considering you do it like once or twice in a row. Speed upgrades at least you see they help, altough their influence is not great either.
First two boss fights are ok, but not that interesting. Third boss was nice, when he wasn't using one attack immidiately after another, which was really annoying. Fourth boss beside weird patterns has issues with 2 attacks. The one where it charges at different angles can just result in unavoidable damage, depending on the said angleand position of the boss. The other attack that isn't great is when boss does semi carouselle with pojectiles. Dodging it on the right side of screen was decently easy, but on the left side of the screen I always got hit. The clockwise pattern just seems to be culprit here.
